Body Talk.....

So after my recently dismissive opinion over the ‘high waist’ I decided to throw caution to the wind by giving it a go and embracing this look, after all if you can’t beat them then join them, right.....and if someone’s having fun well I’d like to think I’m straight in there!!!

So I decided to go for two different high waisted styles, teaming both of them with bodies; as I’m feeling a little love for this new found garment, plus I thought this duo combo could potentially be a wicked look!!

DAYTIME CRED

So first up I went for a slightly more subtle / daytime vibe, high waisted baggy trousers with a dark green asymmetric body. I must admit I was quite surprised how much I liked this look once I’d tried it on as I wasn’t sure. The trousers fitted really well and were comfy, plus looked pretty cool with the green top I thought!

The top felt a lot like swimwear fabric, which I must admit I wasn’t to keen on at first, but I have to say it smoothed out all the bumps and added that extra support where needed. Which is great...

I liked the additional detail of the tortoise shell clip on the shoulder it added a little more elegance to the overall look, meaning I could probably team this up with some heels & bling for a nighttime vibe!! It’s always good to have outfits you can glam up or tone down, depending on the social event!! #multitaskingclothes means more wear & more value for your money!! #winningrules

NIGHTTIME ROLLING

Second look was a much more bold attire with a little dash of attitude, made up of high waisted grey denim jeans and a bright neon green one shoulder / high neck body. Now this body I absolutely loved, the colour was just fantastic and teamed up well with jeans.

The only negative aspect to this look was that the high legs on the body were just too high. When I tried it on as soon as I moved you could see the gap between my jeans and top, which I have to say I’m not a fan of!! However as always this is where ASOS rule for me, the same top in tall - fitted perfectly without the worry of any muffin top flapping about and none of us want any of that happening!! :-P

I definitely think this top is one to keep, just to brighten up the occasion, after all I do like my vibrant colours!

SUNSHINE TIGGER

I just couldn’t resist sharing with you my third look, it just had to be tried and was totally my secret favourite... for one reason mainly!!! The 'harem' trousers were amazingly ‘animal’ printed and were totally up my street! Yet on this particular occasion I decided to tone it all down (only a little mind!), with a plain white v-neck body!

The body fitted well and was comfortable to wear, even if (like most bodies!) was a little more tricky to do up...I think maybe I should spend more time dressing my tiny nephews for a little more experience!!

The trousers were also plenty high enough to not have to worry about any 'gap' between the two. I also felt very comfy in this get up & loved the way it slimmed my waist too!

Overall thoughts, I think I've decided I like this look the best out of the three, although judging by my husbands ‘happy’ face I’m not quite sure the feeling was totally mutual with my third choice!!

In conclusion I’ve decided combining the ‘high waisted’ look with the right top this style CAN work & maybe I should shop more out of my comfort zone in the future... I've also decided that the 'TALL' bodies from ASOS are my favourite thing at the moment so if your tall and are having this kinda problem, try ASOS out, it really is wardrobe changing...
