Hey there and a big welcome to my fashion blog. If you're reading this then I hope you’ve maybe enjoyed some of my previous posts and if not, and this is your first read then a massive welcome to you too.

This post is just a bit about me and why I'm writing this blog (& loving it too!). You see I've loved fashion for as long as I can remember & it's always been a part of my life. I’ve studied it right from A-level to Masters and enjoyed every minute of it. I've been experimental throughout the years, not just with clothes but with both hair and makeup. Sometimes not always succeeding but trying and that's what counts. I mean we all make mistakes sometimes, how else do we learn what does and doesn't look good on us.

In regards to fashion I couldn't really say exactly where I get my inspiration from, because tbh I don't really have one person that always inspires me (apart from my mum and sister...& that's for another time / post though!!) it's more like taking my ideas from day to day life and the people I see and bump into, in different scenarios. Although saying that I do remember my mum making a lot of our clothes when we were very young and being completely inspired by the fact that she could design and make something so fabulous and creative that we could actually wear, it really did make me think 'that's what I want to do when I'm older' although I'm not going to lie, I didn't always agree with her choice of fabric or shoulder detail...we all know what was in fashion back in the 80's and I'm not sure all of those have come back round again.......not just yet anyway!!

I would say my favorite designers are just Mary Quant, Christian Dior, Alexandra McQueen, Calvin Klein and Versace because they are ones that I've grown up loving and aspiring too, the originals I suppose you could call them and ones I also studied throughout my education. My favorite High Street stores are probably ASOS (obviously!), H&M, River Island, Primark, Pink Boutique and quite randomly ASDA & Sainsbury's: I must admit I never thought I'd be saying that, but you can honestly get some GREAT little items from your local supermarket these days, and I also find I can pretend they are part of the food shop too!! #winningbuthungry. My favorite Shoe designer is Irregular choice by far, closely followed by New Look and also Katy Perry's new collection - I love crazy and bright when it comes to footwear and love teaming a plain dress with funky / loud shoes!! I would say my total dream in life would be to own a pair of Christian Louboutin's, that would make my shoe collection practically complete and me one VERY HAPPY lady!!!

I've just turned 41 now and am married with a 13 year old stepson, both of whom drive me utterly crazy in various different ways. I'd almost consider looking after these two fun loving characters as another full time job in themselves, but tbh I would not have it any other way. The relationship they have together, the way they both love making the most out of every situation and the way they make me laugh constantly is what makes them both super special to me and why I would defiantly not change anything about them - to me they are perfect. They are my inspiration and the reason I love the life I have!!

I come from a family of four and am very proud to say that we are all extremely close, close enough to say that we would do anything for each other… & I know from past experience this to be 100% true. They too inspire me, in daily life as well as fashion. Like most / all families they are all very different and unique in their own way and each one of them brings a different dimension and their own little quirks to the family and I love this. They in turn have either met partners, got married or had kids of their own which again alters the family dynamics even more, but each person that comes into the family just brings more fun, excitement, ideas and inspiration. After all if you can't be inspired by your family, who can you be inspired by?!?!?!

All of these people I'm sure will feature in my blog at some point and I look forward to telling you all about them, and showing you how the inspire me and give me the ideas I have. They put the crazy into my world.

So if you love fashion and being overly experimental or not and what to try something new with it then please feel free to follow me.. and give me advice or share your ideas and looks. We can never have enough inspiration or encouragement.

Be happy… & keep reading. L
