SIS'piration

I must admit to being particularly open in regards to my fashion choices and ideas, so I don’t really tend to take my fashion inspiration from one specific place / person / trend or era. Instead I like to keep my options open, taking ideas from many different places and adapting them to suit me & my body. So from iconic names I see on the TV or in glossy magazines, to friends and family I meet up with or see on their social media accounts, to even just people I see on the streets or in coffee shops and bars. Because every single one of us has our own unique style and mind to transform and reinvent that idea.

Possibly my greatest influencer and best-est friend (apart from my mum!) is my little sister. She is to me what Tina Turner would sing about, she is simply the best. Not because she is my only sister (although she is!) but because she is a unique and wonderful character in herself. A person that I have watched, in amazement and awe, grow from a tiny, geeky brown haired girl into a beautiful, strong & independent woman who to me is what a role model should be. She hasn't once stopped inspiring me, in fact her desire to succeed at things, seek new adventures and achieve her goals throughout her life has shown me that in fact age really doesn't matter and that a change in outlook and the courage to go for it can give you the ultimate motivation, and this makes me so very proud of her.

So when she told me she was jetting off (they actually drove their way there!!) to a summer wedding in Tuscany I jumped at the chance for some ‘wedding get up’ SIS'inspiration and I have to say this girl did NOT let me down…not one bit and neither did her man!

Picture the scenery bright blue skies, gloriously sparkling sunshine and an endless backdrop of luscious green mountains, I mean what would there not be to love about this image. Then add the perfect ingredients of close family, friends, love, music and laughter and it's a prefect recipe for a summer wedding celebration.

With this magnitude of perfection you might say my sisters choice in outfit would need to be quite something to compete & judging by these photos it certainly was. I personally not only love the fact that her outfit is a jumpsuit (and from Reiss - their tailoring is incredible, almost like a sublime piece of artwork, both fine and subtle!), but also the colour choice. It's a very brave move to pull off such a pastel colour but at the same time it works as a perfect summer shade and looks wonderful against her skin, I also think it goes great with her balayage hair colouring and tousled styling. The fit is classy, fitted at the waist, with a round neckline and a wide leg style, all of which emphasis her luscious, curvaceous figure. In particular the wide leg look helps emphasis her tall frame and help accentuate her legs. Combine that with some elegant gold accessories, bright red shocking lippy and nails and you have a very sexy, yet opulent wedding look. I may be ever so slightly bias, but I think she looks frigging fantastic in it.......

Finally add to this mix the man of her dreams in a fitted designer 3piece and you have a his & hers outfit combo that would make Jay Z & Beyonce proud. I mean doesn't he look sharp in that suit. The navy colour is a great alternative to your regimental black and the contrasting trims add that designer element to it and added sophistication. I mean you can't go wrong with a suit which has that much extra detailing to it, it shows a little class and it also adds another colour to match the accessories to, like tie and shoes. Drop a pair of super sleek designer shades into the look and we have seriously uber hip and cooler than a cucumber dude.

I mean if this were a Royal wedding these two could quite possibly be classed as the next power couple!! Move over the Beckham's.... Here come the NKOTB!!!

So there you have it, it's not just the famous icons of today that can aspire you to ultimate greatness. A lot of the time it's those closest to you that you love and admire, sometimes without realizing it and sometimes from a distance, these are our greatest influencers and the ones that give us our food for thought.
