We all love a good wedding, but when it's a sibling who's doing the hitching, well now that's a different matter. So when I found out my youngest brother was doing the deed and getting married I knew I had to get my fashion buds blazing. So needless I say I obviously tried on a few different outfits. Here are just a few that I found:

Red N' Hot No1:

This was a little red lacy number, not usually my style but I thought that trying something new would be good for the soul. Long sleeved and bodycon fitted in a midi length style. It certainly hugged in all the right places but I felt like the sleeves were a little restricting and the neckline a little too low for me. It also wasn't as elasticated as some of the other styles I tried on, which also added a little more restriction, but maybe that says more about me than the fabric, after all we all know how much food and drink can be consumed on a wedding day. So elastic is definitely key!! Saying all that I must admit that I really loved the lace detailing on this one and I think worn to some fancy party this dress would be an absolute MUST.......

This is the same style dress in black:

Ice Queen No 2:

The second style was another figure hugging bodycon style midi dress with paneled lashes of lacing detail, but this time thin straps replaced the sleeves and the previous straight hem line was replaced with a fishtail finish. The colour was also much more subtle being a very light Grey / silver colour. I must admit I loved this one, the detailing and overall cut were both very flattering on and the scuba fabric made it ultra comfortable to wear. My only concern was that it was too similar to white to wear to a wedding, as I have always thought that white to a wedding is only for the bride and not for a guest. So maybe with that in mind this too would be more suitable for another occasion.......plus it also helps me make my final choice which can only be a good thing!!

Spotty Dotty No 3:

This one was a little different in style, a yellow spotted maxi dress with small cap sleeves. I loved the look of this one on the model and when I tried it on it was really flattering on, my only problem was although it fitted everywhere else the bust was way to tight for my liking, besides the last thing you want to do at a wedding is take someone's eye out with a flying button...and this felt like it might be a reality for me wearing this. The fabric itself was really nice and soft, very light and cool for a summer wedding which was ideal and dressed with some cork wedges would be stunning. It was just a bit to revealing for me. I think this number would ROCK a summer beach wedding 100%.......

It's A Gathering No 4:

My forth choice was another midi length number in a yellow colour (ochre) with ruched detailing & chunky buttons down the front. I chose this purely for the ruched detailing which I thought might be ultra flattering on and also very disguising of any lumps and bumps. The only problem was that the ruched detailing was only on the front of the dress and not on the back which made your silhouette look great from the front but not quite as flattering from behind. I also thought it maybe wasn't as fancy as some of the earlier ones I tried on, but still pretty sexy.

So after all this testing and trying on fancy frocks it just left me with the ultimate decision of which one to wear.......Check out my next blog to see the photos and all the gossip from the BIG DAY.......

Happy Wedding Guest Shopping Everyone.
